OMCs reduce ATF prices by 11.8%

Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have reduced Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices by 11.79% or Rs 5,469.12 a kilolitre (kl) to Rs 40,938.24 a kl in Delhi, effective from Sept 1, 2015. ATF will cost Rs 49,318.92 a kl in Kolkata (-11.42%), Rs. 41,846.75 a kl in Mumbai (-11.93%) and Rs. 45,448.32 a kl in Chennai (-11.26%).

On Aug 31, 2015 OMCs slashed petrol price by Rs 2 a litre and diesel price by Rs 0.50 a litre at Delhi including state levies with corresponding price revision in other states. With this change, the price of petrol is Rs. 61.20 a litre. Subsequently, the price of diesel is Rs. 44.45 a litre.

OMCs revise jet fuel prices on the first day of every month, based on the average international price in the preceding month.
