Lupin, one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in India, announced today that its subsidiary Lupin Pharmaceuticals, has launched its Duloxetine 40 mg delayed release capsule, which is the generic Duloxetine formulation to become available in 40 mg dosage strength.

Lupin is the only generic manufacturer to offer all Duloxetine dosage strengths - 20 mg, 30 mg, 60 mg and now the newest 40 mg.

Cymbalta capsules 20 mg, 30 mg and 60 mg strengths had annual U. S sales of approximately USD 1.05 billion.

The said drug is used to treat and manage major depressive disorder, generalised anxeity disorder, diabetic periphral neuropathic pain and chronic musculoskeletal pain

Shares of the company declined Rs 10.9, or 0.58%, to settle at Rs 1,869.80. The total volume of shares traded was 53,142 at the BSE (Thursday).
