Info Edge (India) announced a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 27.78% to Rs 287.48 million from Rs 398.06 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter rose 18.53% to Rs 1,717.91 million, compared with Rs 1,449 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 11.25 percent as compared to 30.51 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 193.34 million, compared with Rs 442.18 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 2.37, registering 34.89% decline over previous year period.
Chintan Thakkar, CFO said, ''The results validate that we are on track in executing the plan of building valuable internet properties with a right mix of growth in revenue and investment. The recruitment Solution segment continues to grow at a healthy rate of about 20% with the segment profit at 53%. 99acres has accelerated investments in the business and we are confident of continuing to lead in this space.''

Shares of the company declined Rs 43, or 4.82%, to trade at Rs 848.60. The total volume of shares traded was 24,542 at the BSE (2.51 p.m., Monday).
