Idea Cellular disclosed a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 64.00% to Rs 7,670.60 million from Rs 4,677.30 million in the same quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter rose 21.24% to Rs 80,174.70 million, compared with Rs 66,131 million for the prior year period. Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 2.12, registering 50.35% growth over previous year period.
