Educomp Intelliprop Ventures Pte, subsidiary of Educomp Solutions, has sold its entire stake in Wizlearn Technology Pte, Singapore to V-cube Global Services Pte. Corresponding to the stake sale, the investment of Wiz Learn Technology Pte in Singapore Learning.com Pte, Pave Education Pte and Wiz Learn Pte will also get sold, the company said.

Educomp Solutions had invested in Wizlean Technologies Pte through its subsidiary Educomp Asia Pacific Pte and later transferred to Educomp Intelliprop Ventures in the year 2007 for an aggregate sum of USD 9 million.

The company said, 'The present sale will yield a return of 57% on the original investment. This further underscores Educomp's investment insight and mentorship that resulted in the development of Wizlearn and its eventual divestment to V-Cube, Japan.'

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.53, or 13.43%, to trade at Rs 12.92. The total volume of shares traded was 2,043,006 at the BSE (1.21 p.m., Monday).
