Oriental Bank of Commerce, as part of its 75th anniversary celebrations, announced the signing of a corporate agency agreement with India's leading general insurance provider, Cholamandalam General Insurance Company, for distribution of the latter's insurance products.
Under the agreement, Chola MS will offer a wide range of non-life insurance products to Oriental Bank customers through the bank's extensive nationwide branch network. Chola MS insurance products ranging from personal products- such as motor, home, health, and travel insurance-and commercial products, such as fire, marine and engineering insurance, are being offered.
Animesh Chauhan, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Oriental Bank of Commerce, said, ''We are delighted to partner with Chola MS for bringing best-in-class non-life insurance products to our customers. The partnership will greatly benefit our customers and through this alliance, both Oriental Bank and Chola MS seek to fulfil the non-life insurance needs of customers.''
Shares of the bank declined Rs 1.35, or 1.08%, to trade at Rs 124.20. The total volume of shares traded was 235,477 at the BSE (3.08 p.m., Wednesday).
