Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) announced a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 29.88% to Rs 28,528.90 million from Rs 40,683.70 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter declined 30.94% to Rs 519,281.20 million, compared with Rs 751,947.10 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 39.45, registering a 29.88% decline over previous year period.
