Berger Paints to set up two factories in Assam

Berger Paints India, one of the leading paint manufacturing companies, has decided to install two factories in Assam. "One of them will be a putty and distemper manufacturing facility to be put up by British Paints Division of the company and the other will be a water and solvent based paint mixing plant by Berger Division," the company said.

In another announcement, the company reported a substantial rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 34.53% to Rs 773 million from Rs 574.60 million  in the same quarter last year.

Revenues for the quarter  rose 5.73% to Rs 11,211.90 million, compared with Rs 10,605 million for the prior year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 3.80, or 1.74%, to settle at Rs 221.75. The total volume of shares traded was 288,941 at the BSE (Monday).
