Ahluwalia Contracts bag orders worth Rs 4.29 bn

Ahluwalia Contracts (India), engaged in construction business, announced on Monday it has secured new orders aggregating to Rs 4.29 billion. The orders are for construction of institutional, residential building, including electrical plumbing and fire fighting services.

The company bagged new order worth Rs 3.09 billion for construction work for Indian Institute of Management Rohtak.  It has secured order worth Rs 599.3 million for construction work of India bulls Mumbai and Rs 600 million for construction work for Amity University Kolkata.

‘’We are bidder in projects worth approx Rs 40 billion. The total order inflow during the FY 2014-15 stands at Rs 13.50 billion and the company order book stands at Rs 36.30 billion,’’ the company said.

Shobhit Uppal, MD the company is gradually increasing their exposure into government orders. The company has pared debts with Rs 800 million approx during the current financial years.

Shares of the company gained Rs 15.4, or 6.51%, to trade at Rs 252.00. The total volume of shares traded was 11,854 at the BSE (11.25 a.m., Monday).
